Extra-high Voltage Cable Project with 2.53 billion Yuan of investment started construction in Yichang Development Zone Huting Park on 18th, and it is to be built to be the cable manufacturing base of the highest voltage level, the most advanced technology, and the strongest production capacity in the same industry at home and abroad. Zhang Changer, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Provincial Committee and Chairman of Provincial Federation of Labor Unions announced the ceremony start, Guo Youming, the Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the CPC made a speech, Li Lecheng, the Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the CPC and Mayor chaired the ceremony and Zheng Baozhen, the General Counsel of Yichang Lianbang Cable Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony.

Yichang Lianbang Cable Company has signed the strategic cooperation agreement with three companies from Switzerland, Germany and France.

Yichang Lianbang Cable Co., Ltd. Extra-high Voltage Cable Project has an investment of more than RMB 2.5 billion Yuan, adopts the world advanced technology to produce 500 to 1000 kV extra-high voltage, environment-friendly cross-linked cable and cable insulation materials, shielding materials, focuses on offering services to power grid construction, rail transport, and national defense construction. In this project, the height of the 1100KV extra-high voltage VCV workshop is up to 180 meters, and will become the No. 1 vertical workshop in the industry in the world. The project covers an area of 1,200 mu, after it is put into production, the annual turnover will reach RMB 10.5 billion Yuan, tax will reach RMB 800 million Yuan, and could accommodate 2,200 jobs.

Guo Youming said in his speech that the Lianbang Extra-high Voltage Cable Project is of big investment scale, high technology content, good economic returns, strong driving ability, and is of very important significance for speeding up the development of high-tech industries in Yichang, optimizing and upgrading industrial structure, the transformation of economic development and speeding up provincial deputy central city building. He hoped that Lianbang Cable Company would perform scientific organizations, intensive construction work, so as to ensure that all projects put into operation in October of next year, play the efficiency, accelerate the construction of a world-class low-carbon, environmentally friendly, high-tech high-voltage cable production base.
